Never Pass up on Pajo’s

Monday, May 16th, 2011

If you come down to Steveston looking for our famous fish n’ chips look no further than Pajo’s! Pajo’s was founded in 1985 by Patricia Branch and Joan Whettlaufer with the idea of having a stand right in the centre of the famous Steveston Wharf serving the best fish n’ chips around! You can find Pajo’s right in the middle of the Wharf or in Steveston’s Garry Point Park. Both locations serve the best food around and the locations are great for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Steveston scenery. What can you get exactly at Pajo’s? So much more than your ordinary fish n’ chips that’s for sure. Come down to Pajo’s to enjoy all sizes of Halibut, Cod or Salmon fish n’ chips as well as veggie burgers, mushroom burger, tuna burgers, breakfast buns, hot dogs, veggie dogs, shrimp skewers and even crab cakes! You really get the best of everything when you visit Pajo’s.

A Monkey Tree Emporium

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

One of Steveston’s most recognizable spots has to be A Monkey Tree Emporium! If you are one of those people who have yet to fall in love with A Monkey Tree you are truly missing out. 10 years ago Odile Gagne opened up the store on one of Steveston’s quieter side streets and it became a local hot-spot. In the Summer of 2010 Odile moved the store to an even better spot located right at the village entrance on Moncton Street and with a bigger location Odile has been able to expand her creative energy and the inventory she now carries is amazing! A Monkey Tree has one of the best card selections in the city, gorgeous local artisan work and a variety of home furnishings. It’s easy spot with the adorable monkey signage and green accents, so even if you tried you couldn’t miss this amazing gem you couldn’t!
