Steveston Christmas Classic Car Cruise

Thursday, November 23rd, 2017

The fifth annual Christmas Classic Car Cruise takes place Sunday December 3rd in Steveston.  The cruise is from 12:15 – 12:30pm, the display of cars and toy donation is from 12:30 – 2:30pm.  Awards and prize draws are at 2:00pm.

The event is hosted by the Steveston Merchants Association.  All the donated toys and funds on Sunday will be presented to the Richmond Christmas Fund.  Their representatives will be there to accept them.

In the past four years the organizing committee has consisted of Andrew Stokes (Pajos), Carolynne Palla (Steveston Insider Magazine), Mindy Jo Phipps ( Steveston Merchants Association), and Doug Harder (Volunteer).  Andrew and Mindy have moved, leaving only two people to complete this project.  Additional help and/or monetary support from the business community would be appreciated.

The cruise also supports the annual Santa’s Model Car Workshop here in Steveston.  The Steveston Community Centre furnishes the room and handles the registration.  We give model kits, Hot Wheels cars and Santa hats to all the children.  Thirty children are currently registered with fifteen more on standby.  This event will be held Saturday December 2nd.

On Sunday the car owners not only bring out their prize classic cars but donate toys and/or funds.  These are given to the Richmond Christmas Fund.

Last year the Richmond Christmas Fund helped two thousand families who needed support at this time of the year.  Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives does all the registration and organization of this distribution.

The cost of being a sponsor is only $100. Your corporate logo can be added to our next run of posters and placed on the awards.  We will send you an invoice by email.

Please reply by email and confirm your participation.
